Residential and Day Events

Every year the Community welcomes a variety of groups and individuals to the Abbey for residential retreats and days of recollection.

Organized Retreats for Individuals
A series of organized retreats are run through the year, on a variety of themes.   They are run by the Belmont Retreat Team, under the guidance of the Retreat Director. Our full 2012 Programme (click for printed leaflet) of events are listed, left, according to the months they occur.  We also have a programme of Day Events (click for printed leaflet).

Private Retreats for Individuals
Individuals are welcome to stay at the Abbey's Guesthouse, Hedley Lodge, to make a private retreat. Please apply directly to Hedly Lodge for booking and further information. Guests are invited to share in the round of monastic prayer in the Abbey Church.

Group Retreats
Groups are also welcome to use our Guesthouse facilities for their own retreat, or arrange a special guided retreat. Groups of teachers often visit for an overnight stay as part of their training days.
